FOUNDING PRINCIPAL PARTNERS
The founding principal partners of Osot Associates are engineers of long and wide experience. They have worked in every part of the country on numerous challenging projects.
A .O. OLUMIDE B. Sc (Lond) 1964, M. (Inst) H. E, FNSE
Engr. A . O .Olumide is the firm’s specialist in highway and transportation engineering. Prior to founding Osot, he had a brief spell at the highways division of the Ministry of Works and Transport, Ibadan, in the then Western Nigeria.
He was for years civil engineer planning responsible for several engineering aspects of road transportation planning.
He was deeply involved in the construction of the then three million naira (N3.0 million) World Bank-financed Ondo to Ore road. He acquired a lot of experience on soils and foundation investigation for roads and bridges.
As a principal partner, he has been fully in charge of all highways, bridge projects, and all transportation studies.
TOKUN B. Sc. (Manch) 1963, MCIWEM., FNSE(LATE)
Tokun is a water resource and environmental engineering specialist. He worked for 4 years in Britain.
During the first two years (1963 to 1965) he worked with the consulting firm of Messrs. Waterhouse and Rounthwaite, Newcastle Upon Tyne where he was engaged in the design of the sewage treatment plant for an estimated population of 100,000 in Cramlington New town near Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Thereafter he joined the consulting firm of Messrs. Rofe and Raffety in London where he designed two main projects: the water supply to the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) cooling towers and the design of an earth embankment with a storage capacity of 5 million gallons to supply the Rugby Water Board with potable water.
Since founding Osot in 1968 he has been in charge of all water resources and environmental engineering projects.
TRANSITION FROM PARTNERSHIP TO INCORPORATED COMPANY /MANAGEMENT TEAM
In 2009, the firm transited from a registered partnership to a limited liability company with a new management structure.
The new management structure has Engr. R.A. Kumolu, F.N.S.E. as the Managing Director with other seasoned engineers as members of the management team.
A Board of Directors has been constituted comprising of civil/structural engineers, hydrologists/Water resources, accountants, administrators, environmental scientists, and engineers.

MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE
To cope with its expansion programme, Osot has evolved a management framework that not only facilitates meeting its operations but also lays a solid foundation for the firm’s continuity into the future.
This has evolved an organizational structure that allows the integration of people with similar expertise and knowledge in the areas of the firm’s operation, to promote cross-fertilization of ideas, improved productivity, and outstanding performance. An overview of the firm’s operational structure is shown below:
While the Managing Director is at the apex of the management, each of the Directors is in charge of one of our specialist branches: water resources, highways, and structures. All the engineers and technologists working on any project will be doing so under the relevant Director.
As shown in the organogram, all calculations and drawings are passed through the Quality Control department to minimize errors and reduce wastage which may ensue from bad design.
Also, the expertise of the firm is brought closer to the various clients across the country through the establishment of branches with geographical spread all over the country.
We used to have branches in such places as Kaduna, Sokoto, Bauchi, Warri, Port Harcourt, and Abuja. Each of these branches is constituted to be responsible to the Head Office in Ibadan.
